June – September
The Blue Wave team will be active four or more days per week throughout the summer, weather permitting. We hope to move several thousand pounds of debris by the end of the season. We filter at Whale Park, The Volleyball Nets, Necus Park, Les Shirley Park, and the Lifeguard Tower in Cannon Beach. We would like to support operations on nearby beaches as well depending on capacity.
You can volunteer for one day, one week, once a month, or as often as you’d like. Volunteering with Sea Turtles Forever can be an inspiring and rewarding experience. Join us to learn how to filter plastic out of the sand and help restore our beaches to a pristine state.
