Adopt a Turtle

Each year, STF conducts research and protects endangered nesting sea turtles near Playa Negra, Costa Rica. In 2009 STF started tagging nesting female turtles with uniquely numbered tags. Sea turtles can now be individually identified! Each surviving female typically returns every three years to lay 3-5 nests each season (October through April).

Your adoption of a nesting turtle will help STF protect their eggs from poachers.
